Join us for a sweet escape into the world of bees, honey, and rural tradition on this special day trip to the annual Ayora Honey Festival – El Primer Corte de la Miel. Held every October to coincide with the 9th October holiday, the Day of the Valencian Community, this vibrant event celebrates the region’s deep-rooted beekeeping heritage with live honey-cutting demonstrations, tastings, artisan products, and traditional food.

Salimos de Valencia por la mañana y llegamos a Ayora con tiempo para orientarse y disfrutar de un café antes de sumergirse en el bullicio del festival. La entrada es gratuita y todo el pueblo se llena de actividad. Asista a demostraciones de recolección de miel, eche un vistazo a puestos llenos de mieles artesanales y productos hechos a mano, y disfrute de la feria gastronómica, donde podrá degustar una gran variedad de platos locales.

Follow the painted red line through the historic streets on a self-guided walking tour that leads you to the town’s points of interest, with optional QR codes providing extra insights along the way. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also join an optional guided visit to Ayora’s castle (€1 per person, in Spanish – must be booked in advance).
