Peñiscola Christmas Market and Lights

Spend a wonderful day exploring Peñíscola at your own pace. After a short orientation walk, the rest of the day is yours to discover this iconic coastal town however you wish.

Walk along the seafront promenade and take in the Mediterranean views, or wander up into the historic old town, a maze of narrow streets lined with whitewashed houses, artisan shops and welcoming cafés and bars. Your trip also includes entry to Peñíscola Castle, the dramatic clifftop fortress once home to Pope Benedict XIII, offering spectacular views over the coastline.

During the first half of December, Peñíscola hosts a lively Christmas Market, filling the old town with festive stalls and seasonal treats — perfect for browsing handmade gifts and soaking up the holiday atmosphere. As daylight fades, the Christmas lights illuminate the town, creating a magical backdrop for an early evening stroll before we head back to Valencia.
